Description
Visit the park at your leisure for a hike through Pine Valley Park located in the heart of Manchester, Maryland. All ages and abilities are welcome. Please wear sturdy shoes you don't mind getting dirty, and dress in layers. To keep our community safe, we have decided to forego the "guided group hikes" for now, and instead encourage park visitors to use this day of the month to get outside and treat themselves to a self-guided hike or trail run. If you love hiking, join the 20(miles) in 2020 Hiking Challenge, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/HIkingChallenge/ -We, the volunteers of Charlotte's Quest, hope this challenge encourages you to reap the benefits of regular exercise and time spent in nature. -Follow along with us as we explore a new topic each week, beginning with our Summer Diversity Series! -The official challenge is: To hike 20 miles in the park by the end of the year 2020. Our park offers over 4 miles of trails total, but the longest single trail is just about one and a half miles long. We suggest completing your 20 mile goal over several visits.
