- Monday Morning Zumbini at Bubula Eldersburg - Created by Zumba® and BabyFirst for kids ages 0-5, the Zumbini® program combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of can’t-stop, won’t-stop bonding, learning, and fun!
- Kids Intro to Basic Sewing Skills at Exploration Commons - Learn the necessary basics to feel comfortable using a sewing machine. This is a beginner-level class; you will leave feeling confident about the next steps to take toward sewing your own projects.
- Carrolltowne Elementary Playground Fund Night at Stratosphere Social - Attend the event and bid on baskets or play carnival games!
- Meditation in Nature at Bear Branch Nature Center - Come join a meditation group every other Thursday outside of Bear Branch Nature Center. This outdoor (weather permitting) guided meditation session will focus on connecting to the world around us. There will be some time available after to share any thoughts or questions.
- The Curse of the Snallygaster: Online Book from Downtown Sykesville Connection - Enjoy an audio-guided tour of the Sykesville Snallygaster mini-mural!
- Cosplay Series: Make a Custom Tabard at Exploration Commons - Attendees will learn how to read basic sewing patterns, cut and sew a tabard, sew trim, and customize a vinyl design for the front of the tabard. Great for cosplay, Renn fests, D&D campaign costumes, and more!
- Feeding Frenzy at Bear Branch Nature Center - Join the Naturalist as she feeds the animal ambassadors that call Hashawha home. Learn about what they eat, how they eat it, and meet some animals up close and personal! You will even be able to help feed some of the animals!
- Carroll County Birthday Celebration at Grace Lutheran Church - Join HSCC on Saturday, January 14, 2023, to celebrate Carroll County’s 186th birthday! The commemoration of Carroll County’s “birthday” began in the 1920s with a group called the Carroll County Society of Baltimore County. These descendants of Carroll Countians organized to promote “an appreciation of the history, traditions and pleasant memories of Carroll County.”
- PAWS to Read at Finksburg Library - Come to the library to visit with or read to a book-loving dog. Research shows that reading to animals boosts reading skills in children, and helps with social skills and even emotional health for all ages. Adults and seniors come to de-stress and relax with a fuzzy friend. Walk-ins welcome!
- Kids in Space Planetarium Show - Have a budding astronomer in your family? Want to learn more about the fabulous stories of constellations? Join the Naturalist in the Planetarium to focus on a different winter constellation each month. The show will be followed by a star craft to take home!
