  1. National Lazy Mom’s Day -  It's a great day for a massage and facial at Massage Envy.  Tell them Macaroni Kid Westminster sent you.
  1. Glassblowing Ornaments at Brewery Fire - Want to learn beginners glassblowing and make some awesome ornaments or aqua tubes? Come on out to Brewery Fire in Taneytown on Tuesday September 6th and learn how to blow glass while enjoying some awesome beverages!

  1. Steam Show Days - Steam Show Days will be September 8 – 11 (7am to 8pm) at the Carroll County Farm Museum.
  1. Teen Zoom Hang Out: Anime Club - Do you like watching anime or reading manga? Join this virtual hangout to discuss your favorite series with other like-minded teens! Please plan on logging in to the meeting 15 minutes early.
  1. What’s In Season: Cauliflower at Exploration Commons Kitchen - Cook with the seasons to enjoy the freshest produce year-round. In this hands-on class, we will explore different cauliflower recipes to inspire you to add new dishes to your table.
  1. Full Moon Kayak Tour at Piney Run Park - Join for a scenic moon light guided tour of some of the beautiful 300 acres of Piney Run Lake while the sun is setting. During this tour, you will be on the lookout for the critters that call Piney run home. From deer on the shore, to beavers, geese, ducks and more, it is always a surprise to see what we discover.
  1. PAWS to Read at Finksburg Library - Come to the library to visit with or read to a book-loving dog. Research shows that reading to animals boosts reading skills in children, helps with social skills and even emotional health for all ages. Adults and seniors come de-stress and relax with a fuzzy friend. Walk-ins welcome!
  1. Second Sunday Hike at Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center - Hiking is an awesome way to immerse yourself in nature for a day!
  1. Bluegrass Bourbon and Bocce with the Historical Society of Carroll County - This event features the band Sideline, a six-piece group that has set the pace in bluegrass for over two decades. They have released several albums and had a #1 single, Thunder Dan. Tickets include the concert plus gourmet burgers and hand-cut fries, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages, and Bourbon tastings by local distilleries. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
