  1. Luis Garay Percussion World Duo at the Finksburg Library - Luis Garay Percussion World Duo’s high energy blend of spicy Afro-Latin rhythm introduces audiences to world instruments including congas, djembes, bongos, balafons, shakers, and more! Throughout this highly educational, entertaining, FUN performance, children are invited to participate.
  1. Yoga in the Park at Taneytown Memorial Park - Come wind down the day with slow flow yoga classes in Memorial Park on Tuesday evenings through August 30th! All ages and levels welcome!
  1. INKED at Westminster Library - Join for the final installment of this exciting workshop where you get to explore the art of creating graphic novels and comics!

  1. Trivia Night at Brewery Fire - Every Thursday from 7-9 Brewery Fire hosts Pour House Trivia for free trivia night. Bring your friends and compete for bragging rights AND prizes. Enjoy awesome local food trucks! Grab your seats early, dominate the other teams, and watch them cry into their beer!

  1. Nectarine and Cherry Picking at Baugher’s - Head to the orchard to pick fruit with the family!

  1. Demonstration Station: Photography at the Taneytown Library - Stop by the Demonstration Station to ask a question or learn something new from a member of the Taneytown community. From professional specialists to lay experts, they are hosting a summer for sharing the Ocean of Possibilities we can offer each other.

  1. South Carroll Lioness Club All Day Bingo - Bingo enthusiasts, this bingo is for you! A fantastic fun-filled morning and afternoon of bingo has been planned. Includes continental breakfast, lunch, and admission packs for sessions 1 and 2. Not included in the admission package: Extra Packs, Jr. &Sr. Jackpots, Raffles.

  1. Maryland Summerfest - MD Summerfest is slated to occur August 27 from 11 am to 6 pm at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Rain date is August 28. Please stay tuned for details.

  1. Basic Knife Skills at Exploration Commons - This hands-on class will cover everything you need to know about caring for your knives and how to use them. You’ll learn how to chop, dice, mince and get plenty of practice with other professional cuts. This is a beginner's level class, ages 16 to adult will be required to wear a cut glove for this program. 

  1. Nature Therapy Walks: New Moon at Bear Branch Nature Center - Nature therapy is based on the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku,or forest bathing. It isn’t a hike, vigorous exercise, or a bath. It is slowing down and taking in nature through our senses. A nature therapy walk combines a slow walk with meditation, imagination,and play, and research shows that it can improve your health, boost your mood, and increase creativity. Participants are encouraged to bring water and a snack, wear comfortable shoes, and dress for the weather. Guided walks, which are held rain or shine.
