  1. Birds Trivia Night - How much do you know about birds? Do you know birds of prey from waterfowl or an ostrich from an emu? Join us this evening and test your knowledge during Bird Trivia Night!
  1. Fast Food Day - Head out to your closest fast food restaurant and indulge in your favorite fast food on November 16 because it is Fast Food Day. Why not check out the McDonalds in Westminster? Tell them Macaroni Kid Westminster sent you!
  1. Take a Hike Day - On November 17, wear your most comfortable hiking shoes and take a hike because it is Take A Hike Day. Head to Bear Branch Nature Center!
  1. Shake, Rattle, and Read at the Mount Airy Branch Library - Explore dancing, singing, and shaking your sillies out at this brief movement-based program held outdoors, weather permitting. Please register one person per family.
  1. Fall Craft Time at the Westminster Branch Library - Craft supply kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at CCPL's Westminster Branch. You can pick them up at storytimes or starting on Fridays, during library hours, while supplies last.
  1. Carroll Arts Center: 13th Annual Gallery of Gifts - This holiday season, get something for everyone on your list at our dazzling indoor art market! Featuring 25 artists, our Tevis Gallery will be filled with handmade products like jewelry, pottery, tree ornaments, baskets, candles, woodwork, soaps, and more!
  1. HSCC: Box Lunch Talk - Ghosts of Carroll County - Join us to hear an array of mysterious stories.  Carroll County Public Library librarian and storyteller, Pat Hahn has been engaging audiences for more than 20 years with ghost tales. Many of the stories she shares of tormented souls lurking in Carroll County are from the book Ghosts and Legends, by Jesse Glass (published by CCPL).  Pat has researched and added new stories.  She will share these interesting tales with us as we head into the season of ghosts and goblins.  Event to be held Live at Grace Hall on Carroll Street.
  1. Bear Branch Nature Center: Remarkable Raptors - Get up close and personal with our birds of prey. Learn more about the unique adaptations these animals have that make them excellent hunters in the wild and why they have taken up residence here at the park. Bring your camera or smartphone and meet at the Raptor Mews
  1. Union Mills Homestead: Christkindlmarkt - Come and join us for a German-style Christmas Mart. Food and drinks will be available to purchase, along with a variety of hand-crafted and unique gifts from vendors in the Grist Mill and Tannery. A portion of the historic Homestead will be decorated and open for you to visit. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season at Union Mills, celebrating our German heritage!

    10.  BINGO Fundraiser at Brewery Fire - To help raise money for the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation, we are teaming up with them, Basic Bowl Bros, and Blowfish Poke 2 to help raise money for this amazing cause! We will host two rounds of BINGO, 1:00-2:30 and 4:00-5:30. To play, we are asking for a $5 donation per card (that donation will sustain your card the duration). Additionally, we are donating $1 from every pour. What better way to raise money for an incredible non-profit? Drink beer, play a game, win beer, and eat amazing food?
