- CCPL: Summer Craft Time - Craft supply kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Express Pickup area. You can pick them up Tuesday through Friday, during library hours, while supplies last.
- Brewery Fire Paired Dinner with R&D Eats - Brewery Fire and R&D Eats are partnering for another pre-fixe plated dinner paired with BF's delicious beers. Seating is limited, tickets may be purchased at Brewery Fire's tap room or through their online ordering system.
- BERC’s Virtual Job Club - The Business Employment Resource Center (BERC) hosts an online meeting for job seekers and employers. It is designed to create an environment for positive encouragement, motivation, networking, strategy sharing, and employment announcements. Participate in BERC's Virtual Job Club using the library's large SMARTboard instead of logging in from your individual screen. Don't face the job search alone! - CCPL: Read to a Dog - Read to a puppy from the Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Program! Reading to a dog can increase a child's self-esteem and confidence levels in reading, especially with struggling readers.
- Old Westminster Winery: Ekiben Thursdays - 4:00PM - 8:00PM the first Thursday of each month! No reservations needed for Thursday evenings. Come enjoy the best fried chicken sandwiches from our friends at Ekiben in Baltimore, Maryland.
- National Welsh Rarebit Day - Get into the Irish spirit at O'Lordans Irish Pub. Tell them Macaroni Kid Westminster sent you.
- Gamber and Community Fire Company: Carnival - Live music, great food, games, and rides! Buy your discounted ride coupons online at Gambervfd.org. Watch the web site for other dates and times as carnival gets closer. Tickets must be purchased by Sept 1 for advance price. Tickets ordered online will be mailed to you.
- Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center: First Friday Fire - Stars - Once, the sky was full of stories. Creating pictures out of stars helped in telling the tales of mythological heroes and monsters, which became useful for navigating at night and for keeping track of the seasons. These days, the stars are a little less familiar but we plan to look upward and see what stories we can see in the constellations. Please join to enjoy a fire and roasted marshmallows and then explore the night sky with the Westminster Astronomical Society. This event is the fifth in a series of First Friday Fires they plan to offer to our Members this year.
- Cheese Pizza Day - While the origins of this fun food holiday are unknown, we can all safely assume that it encourages people to pay homage to the humble but delicious pizza pie covered with only tomato sauce, seasonings and cheese. Head to Mediterraneo for a pie and tell them Westminster Macaroni Kid sent you!
- Downtown Sykesville Farmer’s Market - Join for the Downtown Sykesville Farmers Market right on Main Street!
