- CCPL: STEAM Balloon Car Kit - Create and customize your own balloon-powered car. All supplies will be provided. Kits will be available for pickup at all CCPL branches, while supplies last.
- CCPL: Middle Grade Book Talks with Ms. Erin - Want to find your next great summer read? Tune in as Ms. Erin tells you about some fantastic books you can find right on the shelves at CCPL!
- National Banana Split Day - Cool off with a sweet treat from The Cow. Tell them Macaroni Kid Westminster sent you!
- Westminster Lions Club: Steak, Sausage, and Corn on the Cob Feed - Head out for a great meal and support the local VFW!
- Carroll Biz Challenge - It’s like American Idol meets Shark Tank, only it’s LOCAL! The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 10th annual Carroll Biz Challenge. For the last decade, The Biz Challenge has showcased local entrepreneurs and given them the exciting opportunity to pitch their new business ideas, to make great connections, get loads of publicity, and compete for a $5,000 cash prize plus additional prizes worth thousands more. This year, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Biz Challenge, we’re raising the stakes – and one entrepreneur will take home our largest Grand Prize to date – $10,000!
- Run Moore: Altra Pub Run - The August Pub Run will be 2+ miles around town, so try to get here early to make sure you know the route. You will leave the shop at 6 and finish at Johansson's so try and get here before! It may be a tad warm so stay hydrated. Pro tip - being a dry shirt to change into after the run.
- Storytime at Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center - Join for storytime at Charlotte's Quest. You will read stories, play music, and have fun.
- 1st Ever Carroll County Hot Air Balloon Festival - Carroll County will become home of the first annual Carroll County Balloon Festival. The beautiful setting at the Carroll County Agriculture Center was selected so we may delight our spectators, balloon pilots, passengers, sponsors, and vendors. What a beautiful flying area for our pilots and passengers! For those of you who have experienced other balloon festivals in Maryland, we invite you to attend and enjoy all of our many balloon activities. For those of you who have not attended a balloon festival before, prepare to be thrilled!
- Island Green Family Fun Center: Sunday Afternoon Concert! Take the family to the Island Green Family Fun Center for live music and golfing fun!
- Downtown Sykesville Connection: Farmer’s Market - The 2021 market will be the best yet, with returning and new vendors.
