Top 10 of the Week

January 18th-24th

  1. Storytime Zoom Room with the North Carroll Branch - On Monday, meet the staff at the North Carroll Library Branch and your friends in Zoom for an interactive and fun storytime including books, music, and movement. 
  1. How to Love a Goat with the CCPL - Count the ways to love a goat with Ms. Erin and her two silly goats, Root Beer and Sassafras!
  1. Drive-Thru Craft: Snowman Picture Frame - Looking to get out of the house with the kids? Come to the Parks and Recreation Department’s drive-thru activity on January 19 and pick up your craft to make at home! This is free for kids (or parents picking up for children), while supplies last. Must stay in the car, no registration required.
  1. Hiking at Hashawha - Take the family on a scenic hike on the trails of Hashawha! Stop by and play on the playground by the Bear Branch Nature Center!
  1. Spatial Awareness with Rock, Paper, Scissors with the CCPL - Join Ms. Maria for some fun with Drew Daywalt's The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and then learn an easy, mindful craft that will help your child learn about spatial awareness.
  1. Collage Take and Make with the CCPL - Grab a kit, grab a pal (any age) and get creative! Supply kits for a collage art project will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Express Pickup area of the Taneytown Branch. You can pick one up during library hours starting Friday, January 22, while supplies last.
  1. Camp in a Bag: Preschool Edition - In these reusable bags are everything you need to host your very own alphabet adventures. Inside each bag, the Recreation and Parks department has prepared instructions and all the materials you need for five themed beginning with the letter of week. Your Camp in a Bag can be picked-up Friday at the Robert Moton Center from 8:30am-4:30pm.
  1. Snowy Day Fun with the CCPL - Join the CCPL and explore the wonders of winter with some special cold weather crafts and activities!
  1. Friday Fix with Ms. Mandy at the CCPL - Looking for some book recommendations? Join the CCPL for the Friday Fix! Ms. Mandy will choose a new category each week and share some books.
  1. Bowling at Stratosphere Social - With their 8 lanes of high tech ten-pin bowling, you and your friends are sure to have a blast! Their lane fees are hourly, so if you are a fast player or have a small party you can get in a lot of bowling action. Their lane process and control is fully digital, with custom visual themes for your players as they set themselves up into the system for score tracking. They offer full service to the lanes, so the helpful staff will be there to cater to any food or drink needs your party has while bowling!
