January 4th-10th

  1. Cats and Dogs Trivia Night with the CCPL - If you know the difference between a Beagle and a Basset Hound, this quiz is for you! Come play live trivia with us as we celebrate our four-legged friends.

  1. New Year’s Yoga - Let’s bring in the New Year with yoga. We will gather and invite aflowing practice to challenge the experienced and welcome the novices. Celebrate your body and new beginnings with this fun filled practice to release last year with ease and hope for a better year to come! All levels welcomed. 

  1. National Whipped Cream Day - Top something yummy with it at Hoffman's and tell them Westminster Macaroni Kid sent you.  

  1. Make Your Own Mini Pail Snowman with the CCPL - Register to get supplies to make your own mini pail snowman. Supplies will be available in the lobby of Eldersburg Branch during library hours beginning January 7, 2021. Instructions will be included with the bag of supplies.

  1. Penguin Craft Take and Make with the CCPL - Craft supply kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Express Pickup area of the Taneytown Branch. You can pick one up during library hours starting January 8, while supplies last.

  1. Games In A Bag: Minute To Win It - In this reusable bag is everything you need to play 13 games, and hold your own family competition. Just like on the TV show Minute to Win It, the bag contains all materials and instructions for youto set up your own contests using materials that you would find around your own home. Each task must be completed in under a minute or you are out!Your Games in a Bag can be picked-up Friday at the Robert Moton Center from 8:30am-4:30pm. Call the Recreation & Parks office when you arrive at 410-386-2103 and we will bring the Game in a Bag out to your vehicle.

  1. Visit Bennett Cerf Park - Take your kids on a walk, bike, or scooter ride on the path at Bennett Cerf Park! Enjoy looking at the ducks and geese in the pond as well. 

  1. STEAM at Home: Create Your Own Touchscreen Gloves with the CCPL - Learn how to use conductive thread to customize a pair of gloves to become touchscreen compatible. No sewing experience is required - all instructions will be explained in the video! Craft kits are available for this program through Express Pickup at the Eldersburg Branch. After registering, participants will receive an email informing them when they may pick up a bag of craft supplies! Craft kits will be available for pickup starting December 28th through January 11th.

  1. Little Signing Hands - Sing, sign, play, and learn basic American Sign Language for summer in this fun, hands-on storytime for the whole family. Signing storyteller Kathy MacMillan is the author of Nita's First Signs and Little Hands & Big Hands: Children and Adults Signing Together.

 10.   Open Play with VIP Reservations at Player’s FunZone - We limited the number of VIP reservations for each time period. Your VIP reservation is for a two hour period.  Call 410-857-8383 to make your reservation.
